First, the bad news: Little Uncle is finally saying goodbye to its walk-up window on Capitol Hill's Madison Street. The team debuted a sit-down restaurant a few doors down in March, and temporarily closed the walk-up window while concentrating on the new spot.

Now for the good news: The Little Uncle walk-up window will change hands, with Manuel Alfau, owner and chef of Pioneer Square's Manu's Bodega, taking over the space in August. He'll call his new operation Manu's Bodegita.

According to a release, diners can expect a "grab-and-go friendly menu" with favorites from Manu's Bodega including the Cubano dip, Peruvian pork belly, and puerco asado. Alfau will also add some new items like Peruvian and Argentinian style ceviches for summer and hearty stews like Manu's Bodega’s sancocho with pork and sausage in cooler months.

And, as Eater reported last week, Alfau is also subleasing the kitchen at brand new Pioneer Square mini-golf spot Flatstick Pub. He'll serve street tacos in the bar and at a walk-up window for passersby.
