Chad White, who competed on this year's Top Chef, is gracing his native Spokane with Zona Blanca ceviche bar starting today.
The restaurant occupies a small spot attached to The Steel Barrel taproom in downtown Spokane, at 154 S Madison Street. The taproom is a shared "incubator brewery," allowing experimentation without the full costs and risks of launching a full production facility. Zona Blanca offers counter service, serving the flavors of coastal Mexico. Here's a look at the menu:
Zona Blanca will be open Wednesday through Sunday, 3 to 10 p.m.
White's original plan was open a restaurant called Native Post & Provisions, also in Spokane. He says that idea is still on, and he thinks he's found the right spot for the restaurant, pending approval from the city.
