CAPITOL HILL—Today at 5 p.m. marks the opening of Nutty Squirrel Gelato's third location. Owners Alev and Tolga Seymen are considering the shop a permanent pop-up, as it's located inside the Eat Local shop on Capitol Hill. The company is hot off a victory at the Gelato World Tour, where its Magic Carpet Ride gelato was chosen as a World's Best Gelato finalist. There will be eight rotating flavors on offer at the new shop. [EaterWire]

BALLARD—Look for the opening of Corey Nimmer's hot dog cart, Hot Dog Stop in north Ballard tomorrow. Nimmer has been slinging mobile food around Washington for more than a decade, and he's settling down at 7334 15th Ave NW. When he opens at noon tomorrow, Nimmer will offer free hot dogs and sausages for one hour. [EaterWire]

DEALFEED—Today is National Donut Day, and all Cupcake Royale locations will be selling brioche creations from Rodeo Donut, which are usually available at only the Capitol Hill and Ballard locations. Stumptown's cafes at 12th and on Pike will also be selling the donuts. [EaterWire]
