California-based chain Habit Burger Grill opened the first of a planned rollout of a whole bunch of Western Washington restaurants in November, and now comes word that the company is ready to open its second. July 20 will mark the first official day in business for Habit Burger's Tukwila location at 17025 Southcenter Parkway.
Habit Burger fans can catch two previews of the menu before the restaurant opens. On July 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., all proceeds from food sales will go to Tukwila Pantry, an emergency food bank. Then on July 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. and again on July 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., all proceeds will benefit Northwest Center, which advances equal opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Habit Burger gained national attention when Consumer Reports named its Charburger the best (fast food) burger in America in 2014. Washington landed its first location in Kent, and several more are planned for the region by 2022.
