Tomorrow marks the opening day of much-anticipated Dumplings of Fury in West Seattle, a kung fu-themed Chinese-style dumpling restaurant from upscale pub Shadowland.

The restaurant announced on Facebook it will open tomorrow in the former Quadrato space at 4302 SW Oregon Street. The West Seattle Blog broke the news of the pending opening nearly a year ago. "I think it was definitely our love of dumplings that somehow sprung us into thinking of doing this," Shadowland co-owner Ben Jenkins told the blog. "There’s nothing like that here, and we wanted to do something different for West Seattle."

Expect a bunch of fresh handmade dumplings, plus beer and wine. The primary focus will be on takeout and delivery, given the restaurant's limited indoor and outdoor seating. Open hours will be Wednesday through Sunday, 4 to 10 p.m. to start; eventually, the owners hope to expand those hours to seven days a week, and lunch may be on the horizon, too. Eater is awaiting word on the menu.

In other dumpling news, Seattle is currently awaiting a delayed Din Tai Fung to open at Pacific Place.
