Friday, July 8 will mark the launch of 100-Pound Clam with free bites and discounted drinks from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. This is one of two new waterfront projects in South Lake Union from Dan Bugge, who also owns Matt’s in the Market and Radiator Whiskey, and has plans to open White Swan Public House next to 100-Pound Clam later this month.
According to Seattle Met, the walk-up window will peddle dill fries with pickle mayo; steamed mussels with Mama Lil's peppers, leeks, and fennel; creamy halibut corn chowder with bacon and potato; a smoked beef flap tail sandwich with Swiss cheese and caramelized onions; and more. There will also be booze to wash it all down, with beer on tap and wines by the glass or bottle.
The space at 1001 Fairview Avenue North also has a 16-table patio facing the lake. There's even a dinghy delivery service if your boat is nearby, plus four docking spots for customers. If you request a growler of beer, it will don its own life jacket.
