Award-Winning Distiller Opening Capitol Hill Tasting Room

It will take over the Meat and Bread space

Heritage Distilling/FB

Well, that didn't take long. The space vacated by the Meat and Bread closure on Capitol Hill already has a new tenant lined up as Heritage Distilling Co. plans to open a tasting room at 1201 10th Ave, reports Capitol Hill Seattle.

Heritage launched in 2012 and currently operates its main distillery and tasting room in Gig Harbor. The company's liquor line-up includes vodkas, gins, bourbons, and whiskeys, for which it's netted a variety of major awards. In 2014, the company won a record 14 medals from the American Distilling Institute Conference, including several "Best Of" medals, making it the most-awarded craft distillery in North America for 2014 by ADI. Heritage won that honor again in 2015 and 2016.

The Capitol Hill location won't be Heritage's only venture outside of Gig Harbor; the spirits maker is also opening a location in Eugene, Oregon this fall.
