CAPITOL HILL—Ernest Loves Agnes (600-602 19th Ave E) turns one today, and to celebrate, everything on the menu tonight is 50-percent off — dinner, drinks, the works. The restaurant isn’t taking reservations for the special occasion, so if you can get out of work early and secure a bar stool and a discounted Hemingway daiquiri, do. Open 4 to 10 p.m. [EaterWire]
GREENWOOD—The Greenwood gas explosion that leveled Neptune Coffee, Mr. Gyros, and a Quik Stop and damaged numerous additional businesses in March was evidently caused by unsafe practices from a former Puget Sound Energy contractor, The Seattle Times reports. If the violations alleged by the Washington State Utilities and Transportation Commission are affirmed, Puget Sound Energy could face up to $3.2 million in penalties. [The Seattle Times]
BELLEVUE—The Lincoln Square development is getting expansions of Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chao and beer-heavy bar and grill Henry’s Tavern; thanks to a tipster for the notice. These restaurants, likely to open in early 2017, will join an already-announced second location of Latin-inspired Japanese "sushi cocina," Japonessa, as well as an unnamed project from James Beard Award-winning chef Jason Wilson (Miller’s Guild). [Downtown Bellevue]
SEATTLE—Marshawn Lynch: former Seahawks star, clothing mogul, fierce social advocate, and...chocolate icon? Lynch teamed up with candy retailer It’sugar and chocolatier Seattle Chocolate Factory to launch a line of candy bars featuring his lifestyle brand, Beastmode. The wrappers sport an adorable illustration of Lynch enjoying the bars, which come in three flavors: chocolate s’mores ‘n milk, chocolate p-nut butter pretzel, and chocolate mint kookie ‘n milk. Best of all? There’s a promotional video with Lynch paying homage to some famous "I Love Lucy" shenanigans. [It'sugar]
