First of Ten Little Big Burger Locations Set for Green Lake

The Portland chain moves north

Remember way back in February when Eater wrote of Portland burger chain Little Big Burger's forthcoming Seattle infiltration? Well, Seattle Greenlaker blog found confirmation that the first of ten planned locations for the area is in the works — in Green Lake, of all places, far from the first stop for most major restaurant expansions.

According to a press release, the burger place will be located in the Green Lake Village building at 427 NE 72nd St, which has nearly 300 apartments above 50,000 square feet of retail space. Little Big Burger is building out in a 1,200-square-foot space. There's no word yet on an opening date.

Little Big Burger has eight locations in Oregon. It opened in 2010 and was sold in August 2015 to Chanticleer Holdings Inc., a company that also boasts 15 Hooters locations in its portfolio.

Little Big Burger prides itself on high-quality burgers built with regionally-sourced ingredients like Cascade Natural beef, local brioche buns, Tillamook cheese, and Camden's Catsup.

It's not the first Oregon chain to move up I-5: PDX-based Sizzle Pie recently opened a location on Capitol Hill and Bend-based vegan burger restaurant Next Level Burger is eyeing Seattle as well.
