Art of the Table to Relocate After 10 Years

The new space will be bigger, too

Eater 38 member Art of the Table announced over the holiday weekend that it will relocate to 3801 Stone Way N, in the retail space of the Bowman Stoneway luxury apartment building, in early 2017.

Dustin Ronspies and wife Shannon Van Horn aren't going far; their new location will be around the corner from their current spot at 1054 N 39th St. However, the Stone Way location will provide greater visibility and it will allow them the opportunity to expand into a bigger space. The 2,700-square-foot location will seat around 60 people, plus there will be an expanded version of the restaurant's chef's table with room for 9 to 12.

The new Art of the Table will also add a bar and lounge area, which Ronspies and team have nicknamed "Under the Table." That space will offer a casual bar menu and liquor, wine, and cocktails.

"We've been open for almost a decade. That's a long time for any restaurant these days and we don't want to get complacent. This change is about growth. This neighborhood has been very good to us and we wouldn't have been able get this far without the support of our regulars," Ronspies said via press release.

"When we made the decision to move, we didn't want to go far. We wanted a larger space that will allow us to up the ante on our menu and embrace the challenges of showcasing local foods and produce in a more formal, fine dining arena."

Expect the format of farm-to-table, of-the-moment tasting menus to continue once the restaurant relocates. The plan is to open six days a week and offer weekend brunch.

The current location is expected to close at some point, as the team readies the move. Look for updates as that information is released.
