The incremental roll-out of the various elements of Marmite, Bruce and Sara Naftaly’s new French restaurant on Capitol Hill, continued this weekend with the launch of brunch. Going forward, brunch will be served on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The current brunch menu includes an endive, ham, and cardoon gratin; a savory pancake with chard and potatoes, buckwheat apple pancakes with spiced maple syrup; and fried Jerusalem artichokes with spicy meyer lemon aioli. Sara’s next-door bakery Amandine is lending its baked goods to round things out.

Marmite is rolling things out gradually, starting with a limited to-go menu of mostly soup, and then expanding to a soup, salad, and sandwich weekday lunch. Dinner is expected to come later, as well as the couple’s Spirit in the Bottle cocktail bar, anticipated for “early 2017.”

Stay tuned for more updates as the Marmite/Spirit in the Bottle roll-out continues.
