Capitol Hill’s Italian restaurant Ernest Loves Agnes will end its run after service on January 31, according to a press release sent to media this afternoon.

Co-owner Jason Lajeunesse said, “We will be serving our last dinner at Ernest Loves Agnes at the end of the month to make room for a wonderful new project. We have loved serving our neighbors, and hope that you will join us for our last week of service.”

No word yet on what that new concept will be, though the press release promises details “in the coming weeks.”

Ernest Loves Agnes launched in September 2015 in the space formerly occupied by the beloved and long-running Kingfish Cafe. Lajeunesse and his partners at Guild Seattle (also behind Comet Tavern, Lost Lake, and Big Mario's) launched their venture with chef Mac Jarvis at the helm; she then moved on to help open Corvus and Co. and is now working in Las Vegas at Momofuku.

Stay tuned for more updates on the new concept as details become available.
