Belltown’s Tiny Pintxo Will Gain Elbow Room with Relocation

And the owners will open two new bars

Pintxo, Belltown’s Spanish tapas and cocktails restaurant, will shed its small kitchen and narrow dining room for more spacious digs. The restaurant announced via Instagram that it will be relocating to a new space within Belltown, with an anticipated reopening timeline of early May.

The address hasn’t been released, but Pintxo promises that the menu will remain largely the same though the kitchen will gain significant elbow room and the restaurant will have more seating. There will likely be additional dishes like housemade flatbreads and grilled meats.

The new space will also have “a Type 1 hood system that will bring better ventilation system and a bigger kitchen; room for a full-time charcuterie station, raw bar; the ability to take large party reservations; and most importantly, air-conditioning.” The nugget about the hood system should stave off the occasional complaints about smokiness.

The announcement also hints at “two new bar concepts from our small but mighty restaurant group coming Summer/Fall 2017, both in #Belltown.” The group also owns The Upstairs bar above Pintxo. No further details are available, but stay tuned for updates.

To help raise funds for the move and the new concepts, Pintxo is selling gift cards at a discount. The cards can be used at The Upstairs, Pinxto, for cooking class attendance, catering, and eventually, at the two new concepts.
