Pintxo, Belltown’s Spanish tapas and cocktails restaurant, will shed its small kitchen and narrow dining room for more spacious digs. The restaurant announced via Instagram that it will be relocating to a new space within Belltown, with an anticipated reopening timeline of early May.
Tapas Fans, we have some incredible news to announce: WE'RE GROWING! We have an exciting opportunity for all of Pintxo Fans. Check out our link in profile for a limited offer and be a part of this exciting time! We are planning a new project in our beloved Belltown, not far from our current location. As of Spring/Summer 2017, Pintxo will have a new address in Belltown! We’ve spent the last 7 years loving and growing this business and we are thrilled to be moving into a space featuring: more seating while maintaining the intimacy of our original location; security for the future of our restaurant with a long-term lease and a local and active landlord; a Type 1 hood system that will bring better ventilation system and a bigger kitchen; room for a full-time charcuterie station, raw bar; the ability to take large party reservations; and most importantly, air-conditioning. Also, Look out for two new bar concepts from our small but mighty restaurant group coming Summer/Fall 2017, both in #Belltown. #madewithlove #spaininseattle
The address hasn’t been released, but Pintxo promises that the menu will remain largely the same though the kitchen will gain significant elbow room and the restaurant will have more seating. There will likely be additional dishes like housemade flatbreads and grilled meats.
The new space will also have “a Type 1 hood system that will bring better ventilation system and a bigger kitchen; room for a full-time charcuterie station, raw bar; the ability to take large party reservations; and most importantly, air-conditioning.” The nugget about the hood system should stave off the occasional complaints about smokiness.
The announcement also hints at “two new bar concepts from our small but mighty restaurant group coming Summer/Fall 2017, both in #Belltown.” The group also owns The Upstairs bar above Pintxo. No further details are available, but stay tuned for updates.
To help raise funds for the move and the new concepts, Pintxo is selling gift cards at a discount. The cards can be used at The Upstairs, Pinxto, for cooking class attendance, catering, and eventually, at the two new concepts.
