With 16 television screens broadcasting all manner of professional sports and 13 taps — including dedicated nitro, cider, and sour pulls — flowing with craft beer, The Westy has carved out a niche as West Seattle’s go-to sports bar.
Now the company hopes to replicate that experience in Roosevelt. The Westy announced via Facebook last week that it will take over the space at 1215 NE 65th St recently vacated by Pies and Pints.
“We know we have big shoes to fill with Pies & Pints closing their doors,” reads The Westy’s page. “The outpouring of support they received in the final weeks was remarkable to observe, and we only hope to serve the community as well as they did for so many years.”
Pies and Pints shuttered on April 15 after 13 years of serving Australian-style pot pies alongside regional craft beer.
There’s no timeline yet for the transition, but The Westy team says to expect a least a “few months” of work on the space before it’s ready.
