Drunky’s Two Shoe Brings Its Barbecue Kitsch to White Center

The second restaurant opened over the weekend

The western kitsch and disparate barbecue styles of Drunky’s Two Shoe BBQ in Frelard have been replicated in White Center with a new restaurant that opened on Saturday, April 28. It replaces the DK Café at 16th Ave SW and SW 98th St.

Naturally, the second location includes plenty of the same goofy decor as the first, including toilets that have been repurposed as planters, chainsaw light fixtures, and taxidermy. It’s all an homage to the Texas childhood of owner Nate Rezac, who opened the first Drunky’s in April 2015.

Hung new sign in White Center today!! So excited!! Coming soon!

The White Center restaurant sports a patio big enough to potentially host pony rides for kids. There’s also an Airstream trailer outside that functions as a bar. This location is larger than the original, with more room for diners to chomp on popular dishes like smoked bone marrow, burnt ends, and housemade hot links.
