California-based poke chain Ahipoki has opened in Shoreline, the first of two planned Seattle-area locations. To celebrate, the company is throwing out a bunch of discounts leading up to Saturday’s “grand opening.” Here’s a rundown:
Wednesday, July 12: Buy one bowl, get one bowl half off
Thursday, July 13: Free Fountain Drink with any purchase
Friday, July 14: $2 off any bowl
Saturday, July 15: Grand opening 50 percent off all bowls
Ahipoki calls itself the “nation’s fastest growing poke restaurant chain.” Regardless, the company started serving poke in April 2016, and now runs seven locations in California and four in Arizona, with an additional ten stores slated for California and five in Arizona by the end of 2017. The company’s next area restaurant is headed to Renton in the near future.
The fast food-style restaurant allows diners to choose from a two-scoop or three-scoop bowl size, with base options of white rice, brown rice, salad, or a mixture of two. Protein options include spicy tuna, albacore, salmon, and octopus. Diners then choose a sauce and toppings like edamame, avocado, pickled radish, and furikake.
