The winning combination of burgers and beer comes to fruition today at 11 a.m inside White Center’s Beer Star, as the Li’l Woody’s chainlet opens inside the beer hall.
The opening will mark Li’l Woody’s fourth Seattle location. It’s one of two restaurants operating inside the building; the other is a Chinese takeout window. As with the burger joint’s other locations, the menu will consist of extravagant grass-fed burgers, Full Tilt ice cream shakes, and fries made from Washington-grown hand-cut potatoes.
As it does at each of its new restaurants, Li’l Woody’s has created an exclusive burger for its White Center outpost. It’s called the Epicure, and it pays homage to a restaurant of the same name that served spit-cooked roast beef in the building in the 1950s. The sandwich consists of slow-braised top round, provolone, caramelized onions, and peppercorn horseradish aioli, to which diners can choose to add Mama Lil’s peppers.
Beer Star opened on May 26 and offers 46 beers on tap, an extensive bottle and can selection, lots of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a sizable patio.
