Capitol Hill’s Bar Sue, which has long outsourced its kitchen, has a new tenant in Tacos de la Noche. It opened this weekend and serves tacos, tortas, and nachos with several meat and veggie options from a walk-up window inside the bar.
Tacos de la Noche is a joint venture from Lex Petras (owner of Altstadt and The Atlantic) and Lucas Bigliardi, and revives a business of the same name that Petras once ran in Belltown.
Diners can choose corn or flour tortillas or a torta, with filling options like carnitas and chorizo. Nachos and quesadillas are similarly built, and sides like elote and hot watermelon salad round things out.
The taco window replaces Melt, the gourmet mac and cheese business run by Nate's Wings and Waffles owner Darren McGill. Before that, chef Zach Chambers operated Atta Boy sandwiches from the space.
1407 14th Ave, (206) 328-0888, Facebook. Open Thursday to Monday from 9 p.m. until last call.
