Christmas is coming early for anybody who loves zany cocktails served in mugs shaped like Santa’s head: Holiday pop-up bar Miracle is expanding to 50 cities worldwide, and Seattle is one of the lucky ones this year.
The New York-based pop-up, expanding yearly since 2014 when Greg Boehm paused construction of his bar Mace to create a holiday-themed space, is turning Belltown’s Rob Roy into the kitschy “Miracle on 2nd” from November 24 through Christmas Eve on Sunday, December 24. Miracle serves seasonally appropriate cocktails like the Muletide (mezcal, amontillado sherry, allspice dram, ginger, lemon) in custom glassware. Rather get into Santa’s pants than his head? There’s a vessel for that, too.
The full list of cocktails is below, and includes eyebrow-raising combinations like Jingle Ball Nog (cognac, amontillado sherry, peanut butter, almond milk, pandan, cream, nougat syrup, egg, nutmeg) or A Christmas Story-referencing You’ll Shoot Your Rye Out (pumpkin-spiced rye whiskey, Budweiser, marshmallow syrup, egg), as well as “naughty” and “nice” shots.
At select locations, the glassware will be available to purchase, with 10% of all sales donated to Action Against Hunger. Ribbons, vintage decorations, and nostalgic tchotchkes will set the scene along with a holiday soundtrack sure to separate the grinches from the good girls and boys.
