Seattle-Tacoma International Airport’s $17 million Central Terminal renovation continues to yield exciting results, as the airport has revealed a pair of two-in-one restaurant and bar businesses coming soon.
The first is Salty’s at the SEA and Brewtop Social, a full-service location of West Seattle’s iconic seafood restaurant downstairs plus a beer bar with rotating Northwest taps, amphitheater seating for live music, and a separate play area for kids upstairs.
The second is called the Mariners Homeplate and Dugout Bar. The former, upstairs, is a full-service restaurant with American fare, plenty of TVs, and an infinity bar with views across the Central Terminal and onto the airfield. Downstairs, the Dugout Bar will offer local beers, cocktails, small plates, and hot dogs.
Both of these combinations are slated to open by summer 2020.
An additional five restaurants are in the works on the south side of the Central Terminal, all slated for spring 2019. The list includes Pei Wei Asian Diner, a fast-casual restaurant; Lucky Louie, a quick-service seafood restaurant from airport dining maven Kathy Casey; Pallino’s, a fast-casual Italian-American restaurant; Evergreens, with build-your-own salads, wraps, and grain bowls; and Koi Shi Sushi Bento, serving various Asian dishes.
Standouts among a slew of other new dining options on the way, scheduled to open by spring, include Poke to the Max on Concourse C; Caffe D’arte in the North Satellite; and Skillet, which will have a location on Concourse C as well as one in the North Satellite.
Looking farther out, there will also eventually be a Salt and Straw take-away freezer, and new establishments from local favorites Li’l Woody’s, Good Bar, Macrina Bakery, Sunset Fried Chicken Sandwiches, and Caffe Ladro.
Recent airport openings include Kathy Casey’s Rel’lish Burger Lounge, serving excellent gourmet burgers; Floret, a vegetarian restaurant from Madison Valley’s respected Cafe Flora; and Stone House Cafe, a spin-off of the Rainier Avenue restaurant that serves serving home-style cooking.
