After ten years of serving pub fare and beer made on-site and hosting countless interesting events in Greenwood, Naked City Brewery is set to close after service on Monday, December 24. “Rising costs and rapidly changing neighborhood have created challenges we are no longer able to overcome,” the business announced on Facebook. The company’s newer Camano Island location, which opened in April, will remain open.

From now through its final hour, Naked City is selling merchandise and drinks at a discount, with the “Saddest Happy Hour” knocking $1 off all beverages. The brewpub is also throwing a goodbye party with live music on Friday, December 21, from 12 p.m. to midnight.

Naked City has been a neighborhood staple through thick and thin, including a 2016 gas explosion that inflicted major damage on neighboring buildings. Naked City remained open and held a fundraiser for the affected businesses.
