• Capitol Hill has only one Honor Coffee left, after reports that the cafe at 15th and Pine has shuttered.
• On Sunday, August 12, Taiwanese pop-up BaBaLio will open in the U District. Chef Tiffany Ran, born in Taiwan, wants to bring her mother’s recipes to Seattle.
• Santa Barbara-based chain Habit Burger will open at 907 NW Ballard Way and plans to give free burgers to the first 200 people through the door on Saturday, August 18, and Sunday, August 19. The store opens at 11:30 a.m.
• Seattle Met checks out Ethan Stowell newcomers Super Bueno and Cortina. Mexican eatery Super Bueno is a kid-friendly spot that’s good for nachos and “mom tacos” which are the Americanized-hard-shell variety with ground beef. Italian restaurant Cortina “...feels like a light-filled, leatherbound distillation of everything Stowell’s restaurant group has become.”
