Feed Co. Burgers owners Heather and Scott Staples are selling the popular Central District restaurant, which will eventually close and become a new spot focused on oysters, bar snacks, and cocktails. There’s no planned closure date just yet, as details are still firming up in the ownership change. But eventually, Feed Co. will switch to Fusion Bites and Bar.

The Staples opened Feed Co. (1190 24th Ave) in October 2016, with a well-executed menu of burgers, sandwiches, shakes, salads, and beer. They at one point owned a handful of spots in the area, including Quinn’s, Sole Repair, and Restaurant Zoe, but have sold those businesses over the last year or so. They also own Uneeda Burger in Fremont.

Details for the sale are still being finalized. The new owners are planning to make some interior changes before they open Fusion Bites and Bar, but the turnaround time is expected to be minimal, according to Capitol Hill Seattle. Eater will post an update when a specific closing date is set.
