Feed Co. Burgers founders Heather and Scott Staples sold the popular Central District last month to Lan Bun. At that time, it sounded like Bun was planning to make changes, transforming the space into a new restaurant called Fusion Bites and Bar. But Bun says she isn’t planning to make any changes, after all.
Bun told Eater that everything about the restaurant — the name, the decor, and the excellent menu of burgers, tempura vegetables, beer on tap, and milkshakes — will remain the same now that she has taken over as owner. Eventually, Bun said she may add a few new dishes, but she is keeping those ideas under wraps for now.
The Staples opened Feed Co. (1190 24th Ave) in October 2016, with a well-executed menu of burgers, sandwiches, shakes, salads, and beer. They at one point owned a handful of spots in the area, including Quinn’s, Sole Repair, and Restaurant Zoe, but have sold those businesses over the last year or so. They also own Uneeda Burger in Fremont.
