The normally bustling Pike Place Market is now sparse, as Washington’s stay at home order continues during the COVID-19 pandemic. But the vendors, restaurants, and shops who make up its vibrant spirit are still doing their best to get by, some banding together to share resources and others finding new ways to reach customers. There’s a local tour company called Savor Seattle that delivers boxes full of goods from various market vendors. But for those who want to buy directly from local businesses while maintaining social distancing guidelines, below is a list of places in and around Pike Place that offer food delivery.
The market adjacent Korean restaurant serves some of the best wings in the city, coated with a chili caramel glaze. Right now, diners can get those, along with pork sliders and ssam bowls, for delivery within the Downtown and Capitol HIll area, or takeout at sibling restaurant Meet Korean BBQ.
The flaky pastry favorite recently launched its brand new delivery service in partnership with Pike Place Chowder and Pike Place Fish Market to form a local power trio — there’s an option to add flowers, too. It also launched an online hub for local restaurants to advertise their takeout and delivery options called Catch22Delivery.
This has been a Pike Place classic for years. But now its sibling restaurant White Swan Public House in South Lake Union is where diners can find some takeout and delivery selections from the expertly-crafted Pacific Northwest seafood menu, along with items from acclaimed barbecue-focused Radiator Whiskey.
Known for its single-origin chocolate bars and recognized as one of the best chocolate shops in the U.S., the café and confectionary offers everything from chocolate bark and nibs to spice rubs and body lotion. Items are available for delivery through DoorDash.
Living up to its name, Uli’s continues to be one of the more well-known meat purveyors around town, and its products can be found in many grocery stores. But there’s also the convenience of getting cajun andouille or kielbasa sandwiches delivered right to one’s home via DoorDash.
For more than 70 years, the specialty grocer has been a favorite of Pike Place shoppers, with a robust selection of cheese, meats, wines, and pastas. Now it’s offering same-day delivery on many of its pantry items through its website.
Around since 1917, this company bills itself as “the longest continuously open seafood market in the country.” And it’s not stopping now. Online sales help keep it afloat, shipping shellfish, salmon, dry rubs, and more products all over the country — or, of course, right here at home.
The Southern-influenced comfort food specialist has limited hours for takeout in the market, but also has delivery available for its biscuits, grits, and breakfast sandwiches on most of the major apps, such as Postmates.
This family-run Turkish restaurant has a selection of savory and sweet pides (flatbreads), kebabs, and salads, available on delivery apps such as Caviar.
Those looking for a selection of comforting desserts should check out the online offerings at this longtime Pike Place bakery, which offers cookies, muffins, and quick breads for shipping via email orders. There are vegan and gluten-free options as well.
