Chef Angie Roberts is busy busting out recipes for her new job as executive chef of Hollywood Tavern, currently on the calendar as opening this October in Woodinville. The new space will be an overhaul of the original tavern (formerly Mabel's), which dates back to the 1930s. In addition, Woodinville Whiskey is opening up an adjoining distillery (and it's coming along quite quickly). Nailing down a menu is great and all, but Angie also loves to do some dive bar recon once in awhile to, er, familiarize herself with tavern culture. As she says, "I love dive bars. I'm from Idaho so when I go to one it's like, 'I'm home!'"
