Salty's on the Columbia is one of the best seafood and steak restaurants in Portland. And for Dining Month, they are not messing around. The first course includes a smoked salmon and beer cheese bisque. Yep, beer cheese.

Laurelhurst Market is reason enough to leave Seattle itself. This restaurant and butcher shop celebrates all things meat, and for their main course during Dining Month, you can get a ten-hour braised beef shoulder. That's a lot of hours.

This acclaimed 40-seat, small plate restaurant should be a must-visit on your itinerary. In March, their menu will offer three savory courses, including salmon sashimi, a corn tostada, and a choice between Vietnamese beef stew or Tofu curry.
