Brunch can get a bad rap. Some restaurants attempt to follow a late Saturday night of service with a bleary-eyed brunch service the next morning. Other places view this leisurely weekend meal as a grim but profitable slog, dishing out uninspired pancakes and eggs while reserving more creative efforts on the dinner menu.
And then there are those restaurants that have become Seattle brunch standards, or simply put as much thought into the morning menu as the nighttime fare. Here now for your weekend consideration are some new and classic picks for brunch in Seattle. In this update, Salty's on Alki, Cafe Lago, and Blackboard Bistro make way for The Fat Hen, Book Bindery, and Fresh Bistro.
