Christmas time is here, and it's a great season for food, drink, merry-making, and finally admitting that you can't actually cook. But no one should miss out on a special holiday meal just because you don't know leaf lard from lanolin.

Don't fret: There are tons of restaurants and bars open for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to help you make the merry without making a mess of your kitchen.

Here now, an alphabetized round-up of some go-to spots to take the pressure off.

The 5 Point Cafe

Open all day and night over the holidays, the restaurant will be serving their entire menu in addition to a special Christmas dinner from 10 am to 10 pm Xmas day. The holiday special includes prime rib or ham, sides and pie for $22.

The Malaysian walk-up on the Hill is offering a limited menu on Christmas Eve, so if you wanna enjoy dinner on your own couch, but don’t want a billion dishes to clean, this is the place for you. They’ll be featuring their biryani, among other favorites, and are closed on Christmas Day.

Get thee to Lost Lake and enjoy a prime rib dinner with amazing sides, like Brussels sprouts with bacon and beans and such for $14.95, plus family style sides. The whole menu is available as well, with the special holiday dinner running both December 24 and 25, starting at 5 pm Christmas Eve until midnight Christmas Day.

The popular soba destination will be giving a little different take on the six-courser, with monkfisth liver, foie gras, sea urchin, and the signature soba they’ve become known for. Rookies Sports Bar & Grill

If a sports bar is more of your chosen holiday haunt, Columbia City's Rookies Sports Bar will be open on Christmas Eve and 11-8 on Christmas Day.

Evan Leichtling, whose resume boasts major stints at Lark and La Bête, will be stopping by Rumba on Christmas Eve to blow your mind. The meat-loving chef is serving up venison, suckling pig, rabbit, fernet ice cream, and plenty more.
