If you've waiting until the last minute to decide on New Year's Eve dinner plans, it's not too late. Actually, there are quite a few Seattle hot-spots that still have some tables left. As you can imagine, many of the late-night seatings are going quick, but if you don't mind dining and dashing to ring in the New Year someplace else, the world is sort of your oyster when it comes to snagging a seat at a table. Here's a map (ordered by neighborhood) to help you decide where you want to go. Check back often, as more restaurants and menus are likely to be added throughout the day (like many NYE reservations, some chefs like to wait until the last minut to plan). MistralKitchen’s formal dining room—the Jewel Box—will host 5 and 8 course tasting menus for $70 and $125 respectively. Courses will include lobster, Osetra caviar, truffles, Matsutake mushrooms and other delicacies. Optional wine pairings are extra.
In the restaurant’s more casual main dining room, an expanded à la carte menu will be offered featuring MistralKitchen favorites like sous vide Mad Hatcher Farm half chicken, 48-hour short rib and an assortment of crudo and oysters. Special cocktails will also be available.
